In our daily life while driving to office or some other personal works we come across instances which are beyond our control but still they disturb us immensely and this happens again and again. Through this thread I feel we can share such annoying habbits of co-drivers or co-passengers which, if you had the authority, you would remove.
To me :
First I cannot stand any co-passenger smoking while travelling in a car.
Second, I hate such persons who while waiting at Red Light start talking on mobiles and kick start their vehicles quite late after the Light has turned Green.
Slow drivers. I loathe them…especially the ones that make you miss the green and yellow light. They often turn out to be Corolla drivers…or more recently Mazda drivers…or one of those cars where you can’t tell which company/make it is. But many times it’s been Corollas. Why? The frequency of it makes it seem like some cruel joke. :no:
a) that one donkey in the fast lane who is going below speed limit and holding everyone back, refuses to move to the slow lane, so when u get a chance and get in the right lane to pass him, all of a sudden he is speedy gonzalez ki aulaad and will try to speed up so u get stuck in the right lane..seeing enough of these mules now when I just gun it when i switch lanes to pass em, and thankfully for so now the tool can't block me, but then starts giving me brights..
b) stupid women doing makeup in their freakin huge SUVs, I hate being behind them because they speed up and brake in an erratic manner, and I hate being in front of them, just a couple of weeks ago, I had to swerve out of the way for a damn truck i knew was not going to stop and she hit the car that was ahead of me. These women have produced kids who are texting god knows what while driving...hate being around those wanders as well
**those drivers drive me crazy who wish to make a left turn on a busy major road from a side/subsidiary road. the chain of events go like this…here i wait patiently behindthis drive who is constantly keeps scanning horizons on both sides **** but misses all the ‘windows of opportunity’ to make the left turn. ****then, after ten minutes, the driver decides to make a right turn … OMG! what a moronic drivers they are!

RV- u don't know driving agony unless you are stuck behind a couple of volvos, subarus, corollas, saturns and dodge caravans...
That is a shortlist of the worse cars to be stuck behind..
on Karachi’s roads its unanimously Bikewalas I’ve a feeling that they are on payroll of licensing authorities to check your driving skills on regular basis.
Ambulance drivers when they try to get their way through wrong lane. It seems they are on a mission to kill many on the road to save the one in the ambulance.
Dumpers/ trollers carrying loose containers / cargo without proper locks. Sonay pe suhaga Gadha Gadi / Oont gadi walas on Maripur road in between heavy trollers, etc. You sent an atheist driver there and he will accept the existence of God.
police / ranger, etc vans… I don’t know why they are in hurry on roads when they don’t follow tradition of reaching moqa e wardaat.
Last but not the least, VIP movement and their so called protocol. They think that roads are their baap ki jageer.
cops annoy me on the road…they seem to just gravitate towards me
trucks/rigs just drive me insane…i feel like they might topple any second and crush me
desi uncles and aunties…they park so weird. just yesterday…i drive into our parking lot…all the cars are parked at a slant…and there is just ONE car parked straight that happens to be taking up TWO spaces. it was a desi.
1) stupid men/dads who speed through the carpool lanes at school, knocking over cones and nearly running down teachers because they can't follow BOLD ARROWS
2) stupid men who are trying to compensate for the lack of something else on highways, by swerving in an out of lanes, speeding out of the far left, cutting you off and nearly killing you to make an exit
3) stupid men who insist on driving a HUMMER in suburban neighborhoods...seriously?!? Not impressed buddy, you look like a tool with that car seat in the back
I have never had a chance to drive in Pakistan where molvi drivers are in abundance.But my father (who lives there) hates them with a passion and says they are the worst drivers of all .
I get annoyed driving behind pick up trucks, mini-vans and suv's. I need to be able to see traffic up ahead, in front of the car I'm driving behind, if all I see is their monstrous and flat rear ends then I switch lanes. If I can't see traffic in front of you, I don't drive behind you because I can't compensate for any sudden judgments/moves you might make.
I also get quite annoyed by left-lane bandits, and those who drive with their high beams on.

Adding one more to the list, people who are scared to pass a truck on the highway, aadha Ghanta truck say 10 feet peechay left lane mein rotay rahain gaye, array baba pass the truck or get behind the truck.
Drivers going less than the speed limit. I pass them the first chance I get. If it is a car that is having some problem and their blinkers are on then I do understand , but I will still pass/overtake at first chance.
Drivers who try to rush me to beyond speed limit. If you are in a hurry be daring and pass/overtake me and risk getting a ticket/citation , I ain't going to go over the limit .
Drivers who have to go as fast as they can. Sometimes even driving the speed limit is too fast, if the light half mile dwn the road has just turned red. so I take my foot off the accelerator - but the driver behind gets irritaed, changes lane, and the driver behind does the same - and when the light turns green, all of them are stopped at light while my car is in motion, going past these jokers.
I can swear I have postedthis same thing in another thread abt driving pet peeves.
Sorry RV et al, I do drive a Civic, and mostly drive under speed limit when it is warranted.
Add to that a few Honda Civics. But mostly it’s been Corollas.
