So after reading about the Vitamin C serum in the previous threads, I decided to try it as I had been bombarded with pimples the week before ( My birthday is next saturday so I thought might as well try it)
Anyhow, I’ve been using it for the last 2 days and I see no difference in my skin
The thread claimed that you’d notice the difference after the first night you apply it…But no luck for me

I bought the vitamin C powder from Holland & Barrets and the glycerin (mixed with rose water) from Boots.
To make the serum I added 1/4 ts of VitaminC powder in a ts of warm water and then added glycerin.
So, what exactly is it that I’m doing wrong?

Hi I haven't used any type of Vitamin C so can't really help you however what i have found that does deffo help with cystic/red horrible spots is the Mario badescu buffering lotion. I bought it from hqhair.com. I have also tried the famous pink drying lotion and cream which didn't really help me. So yeah give it a try.
Re: What Am I Doing Wrong?
I also tried it, and didn't notice a difference. I will admit that I wasn't regular with it....and I didn't like the way it felt on my skin. ATM...I don't plan on trying the tip again.
BUT.....I do understand that just because a particular beauty tip worked for a few people is NO GUARANTEE that it will work on me as well. Everyone's skin is unique. Also, some treatments will take time (even months of regular use) to notice a difference. If one's skin is quite troubled (with quite a bit of acne)...it's kind of unreasonable....to expect that the skin will get better in a short amount of time. That's kind of like a person who gained a 100 pounds expecting to lose 80 pounds in a week. Or someone who has hair loss expecting hair to regrow in a few days.
Perhaps you need to give it more time. Perhaps this treatment just doesn't suit your skin type. Maybe there could be other factors (stress, diet, lack of sleep, hormones) that can be getting in the way of your skin's healing/recovery process.
Re: What Am I Doing Wrong?
@ Random Girl: I've recently spent over a 100quid on skin products so I guess Mario badescu buffering lotion will have to wait XD But thankyou so much for recommending this :) Appreciate it.
@ Redrelvet: The Vitamin C serum does sting a bit initially I have to admitt -- I've been using it for the last 4 or 5 days, and I think it is working (Or maybe that's just wishful thinking) Either ways, I do plan on using it for a while and hope so see the effects Fingers crossed
I haven't got Acne so to speak of, but do get a few pimples now and then. Im not too sure what happened last week and my skin completely went craaaaaaazy with the spots. But it is getting better now thank God.
My main concern is the uneven skin tone and the marks that the spots leave.
Anything for that?
Thankyou for your advice though :)
