What am I doing wrong?

I keep trying new shampoos and conditioners…but I just cant find one that works.. Everything I try after I shampoo my hair is in tons of knots..a.nd then conditioner helps but it doesnt detangle the way it does at the salons…

What am I doing wrong?? is it the shampoo Im using… but believe me I have tried everything…right now I am using Joico daily use shampoo and conditioner… I wash my hair once a day AT LEAST!! If not the next day my hair feels oily to me…and I cant handle that feeling…

So tell me what I can do to get rid of these knots!!!

Lo’real Elvive for men thickening shampoo.. :jhanda:

Apologies if this sounds patronising, but how are you washing your hair? I find that my hair always gets very tangled if I wash it in teh bathroom sink but hardly get any tangles when washing it in the shower.

Comb your hair before you wash it too and don't rub your scalp too vigorously when you're washing it. Try using a deep conditioning treatment once a week which will help, especially if you're washing your hair everyday.

for shampoo, you could try using a clarifying shampoo...it helps with oily hair/build-up...

for the knots, try using a wide-toothed comb(i think thats what its called?). i heard your not supposed to brush your hair when its wet, because it can break the hair. but that type of comb works well after you wash your hair

Thanks girls, Shahreen I wash my hair in the shower the way my hairdresser told me too...I am quite gentle with my hair....but still I end up with intense knots.. I think I will give the dee conditioning a try...

Also, you shouldn't pile all your hair up on top of your head and shampoo it - just because they do it on the commercials doesn't mean it won't turn your hair into one tangled birds nest.

Have u tried using a straightener?

Straightener?? Do you mean like somethign that I use in the shower, or one of those blow dryer kinda straighteners. I have really straight hair...and alot of hair...arghhhhhhhh... I mean I get my hair thinned and still there is so much of it.... so I dont know....but Im willing to try it...let me know which type

I was talking about one of those straightening irons
that leaves your hair smooth and silky.
It just has to work for your problem. :)

Try some fresh lemon .
before shampoo apply just for 5 min.
