ok so i used hydroquin, im using kojic acid few ngiths a week, plus lactic acid peels and using sunscreen-albeit only when i go out. so why cant i see a brighter complexion…im the same i think…? should i be using sunscreen even indoors? BEFORE people slate me for whitening myself, i just want a shade brighter and lighter, nothing too drastic. so what did i do wrong?

you are using a lot ,
anyway for any routine , to see a result , we should follow it for 4 weeks a minimum ,
and 2% Hydroquinine takes 6 to 8 weeks. and 4% takes 4 weeks,( PLUS: for some people Hydroquinine causes hyperpigmentation)
Peels work like magic if done professionally, because these are acids and we have to use neutralizer after that, and some specific skincare regimn for 2 weeks or so

Um…no, there is no reason to wear sunscreen indoors if your’re not being exposed to the sun! 
You stopped the hydroquinone right? And you’re doing the LA peel 1x/week? How long have you been using the kojic acid cream? What % of Kojic acid is in it?

YEAH stopped hysroquin, peels once a week for around 6mins, kojic acid , hmmm jus used it 2 weeks so far, and its the only one available in pak, called kojic acid whiening cream, from the vitamin company…no idea about percenage…doesnt say.
reason i asked about the sunscreen- i read sun rays also penetrate thru windows ec so should wear some.

Unless you sit right next to the window for long periods of time and your skin is exposed to the sun, you do not need sunscreen in the house. Our living room walls have large windows…when I’m home during the day, I try to sit somewhere where the sun isn’t hitting or go to another room. This is not rocket science.

The lactic peek, try to see if you can increase the time slowly. Next time, go unto 7 minutes. 2 weeks later, go unto 8. Do this until you go up to 12 minutes. Again, listen to your skin and make sure it can handle the increase in time. Of course, as always keep it super moisturized afterwards for 24 hours at least.

The kojic acid cream you go, read the ingredients list and make sure it doesn’t contain any steroids.

2 WEEKS?! You’re asking about something serious like the shade of your skin not changing after 2 WEEKS?!
4 MONTHS! That’s your magic number. Do the LA peel and use the KA cream for 4 MONTHS minimum. Use sunscreen religiously when exposed to the sun (actually, try to minimize exposure at all). Then come back and tell us if you see any difference at all.
LA peel 1x/week
KA cream 3x/week.
Retin A .025% cream 1x/week.
That is the routine you need to start with. The Retin A will speed up exfoliation and help the KA and LA penetrate better.
After 1 month, if you skin is handling everything well…you don’t experience any irritation, excessive flaking, dryness, redness etc…then use the KA 4x/week.
Do that for at least 4 MONTHS before asking what you’re doing wrong.

i dont sit near windows, but when im cooking, im near a window.
and yeh, loll, i should wait a while, i guess jus got impatient. is there a place i can get retina a in pak?
