Re: What actually happened at Karbala
I would like to point out a few things.
1.Questions regarding Kerbala. People that dont understand the reasons of deep mourning need to go and research exactly what happened at Kerbala and after Kerbala to the women and children of our Rasools family PBUH.
There is zikar of the people of the house/cloak in the Quran and our obligations towards them.
One person mentioned Kerbala has been commersialised.I would like to stress Shia do not mourn for one day but for the entire two months of Muharram and Safar.
The Sacarafice that Imam Hussain gave durin the first 10 days of Kerbala no other Imam had ever given. His test was of the highest and most intense. All the men and many children were massacred in front of his eyes. Lets not forget these poeple were the memebers of our Prophets family PBUH . The reason for the mourning of Kerbala is that such sacrafice should never be forgotten. It was the ultimate sacrafice to preserve our faith, for which we should be thankful.
Yazid converted to Islam as he had no choice and so did Hind. If they were true followers of our faith three generations down they would not have taken revenge from our Prophets family PBUH. For those who believe that they had ammended their ways. let me ask you did Iblees not pray?
You have many evil people that pray for the duniya rather then din and Yazids family were such people. Islam had taken hold of that region at that point in history and he did as the majority did. I shall judge and will judge those who inflicted such pain on my Rasool and his family PBUH.
Iwill judge the family that sent thousands of troops to cut and mutilate our Rasools family PBUH. The Anglo Saxon Chronicle that has not been complied by shia people states
On the day of Ashura Blood Poured from the Sky.
The horror of what happend during the month of Muhrram and Safar will tear your heart into pieces, I urge all to read up on the events of these two months . We watch the news and feel pain for the people of Gaza . We protest, we cry , we fundraise ,we speak out ,we march ,we shout, we pray for the people of Gaza . Let us also pray for our Rasool PBHH and the sacrafice his bloodline gave. Imagine going through such torment and suffering on ur own.
I would also like to point out our Prophet PBUH used to weep when he used to think of Kerbala. As it was forseen that the Imams would be martyred in such a manner.
