Whoever said porn is only purchased by people in the middle class and educated people don’t engage watching in pornographic films is a complete joke. You make it sound like a fact. How do you really know if your referring to numbers in Pakistan.
The porn business is huge and these people who actually make these movies are millionaires the same way the are in Hollywood. Their film makers and the actors in those movies are also attached to fame and fortune. It has nothing to do with class or education. There is no particular social class, they sell to a market, like in anything else. **Porn in the West is not associated with any group of people so I’m not sure where you got these “numbers” from. **
Just saying. There are a bunch of government officials and celebrities involved in sexual scandals and their class really has nothing to do with it except for the fact that they have more money than others to spend. Don’t be so naive.
First I am sorry if I made comment on middle class or ghetto living people and it might have come across as generalization. Not really.
Your example of Govt. Officials or celebrities is invalid since they do not belong to a larger number as compared to middle class or Ghetto living mentality.
Politicians come from many different backgrounds themselves and do not necessarily represent educated or high class people. They just get elected based on party affiliations or many other reasons,… and same goes for celebrities.
Since when ‘celebrities’ represent educated class?
Here is a study from U.S. and it shows much more middle class people admitted to watching porn than poor class.
Pornography in the American Social Strata :: Papers
Sorry for the cut and paste but I wanted to quote excerpt of this survey/study.
…In terms of class, our hypothesis was that the
lower class would have the highest rate however, we were wrong. Only
5.8 percent of the lower class surveyed admitted to having watched
porn whereas both the working and middle classes admitted much more.
Within the working class, 48.9 percent of people admitted to having
watched porn as well as 42.2 percent of the middle class. In terms of
strength in religious affiliation, our hypothesis was that people with
less religious affiliation would be more likely to have watched porn,
in some ways, we were correct…
Moreover, to your RED bold part, you are incorrect. Just like in many other places, West also has certain different groups of people based on many criteria who watch or do not watch porn.
Are you saying, all across west, porn is equally watched by people? Really?
I can’t confirm if the amount is equal but quite a lot and by many high and low, so yes that’s exactly what I am saying. You should come out of your little bubble, there’s a whole world out there.
Btw, the link of the statements you posted is an essay. Meaning (just in case FYI) it’s been written based on someone’s opinion and at best written by high school students. Can hardly be considered factual or a study. It’s completely biased to limited knowledge and hardly thorough. And it’s kind of cute you thought of this as a study. Reminds me of the times I used to help my brother with his homework in grade school.
And the part about politicians not being educated… Should I even bother? Just come outside for a second, I promise, it’ll open your eyes to a whole new world.
And lastly, your use of “ghetto living mentality” is highly offensive.
