It has nothing to do with assertiveness, it has to do with the right proposals coming along at the right time for a girl. One can’t spend an entire life waiting for the right person to come (that doesn’t exist), so end up compromising on these things- also depends how biig of a deal it is for people. To be honest, as everyone says, the longer you wait the greater the chances are you won’t find a man that has adhered to religion strictly, in terms of relationships in particular.
To me, it is the biggest compromise, but what can be done, mukammal jahaan kisey milaa hai.
