I think, Pakistanis should write to Scotland Yard and British police that investigation of money laundry should start on Nawaz Shareef and his sons, as millions of ‘unearned and dirty money’ pounds came to UK and flats were bought. It seems, crime is done on UK soil, by using illegally obtained money from crime and corruption, then money laundry was done using off-shore companies, and then funds got into UK to buy flats and obtain other assets.

Does Scotland Yard/British police have authority/jurisdiction to perform investigation against someone based on request of a non-citizen living in foreign (Pakistan) land?

I am an uneducated soul but I see here on this forum there are many educated and learned members; can anyone answer a simple question for me and many millions of uneducated people like me:

Question: In a checkered history of Pakistan spanning over almost 70 years; there had many been mega tragedies and corruption issues; starting from killing of first elected PM to breaking up of the country to assassination of BB, to swiss banks, to Surrey palace to memo gate to Panama leaks and investigations were carried out - has there ever been culprit named and caught and punished?

That is the bottom line, investigations are carried out, commissions are formed and in the end reports are sealed and no action taken against the accused… so what was the point of whole drama of investigation?

All these investigations are just drama-bazi to cover public eyes with smoke, to make them believe that justice will be served. As it is today, you steal $100 from bank and get caught everyone in the bank including peon will be b!tch-slapping you. On other hand, you go into bank well suited-booted, good/shiny car, apply for loan using some connections and then never have to worry about repaying the loan. There, you got all the respect from staff while you looted the bank.
