Re: Western social setup is good for local economy?
The American society revolves around a capitalist system . It means the center of attention for government is market (business) . Governments think that if business will prosper in the country then it will ensure better flow of money and better life for people . But its not entirely true as it creates a lot of socioeconomic problems in the society . A dip in the market directly effect the living conditions of people and their lives .
Pakistan is not like that . Our markets are not strong to generate enough jobs and revenue to sustain the fast life like here . Even if it is , then people are not financially strong to help build that economy . I think it will take good 50 years or more to build a strong economy in Pakistan where everyone has enough buying power and they can think about moving out .
