These days I think being western or eastern doesn't matter because women are standing up for themselves more than before.. I think awarness is the factor in that.. but i do know many women that continue to take this from hubbies, and I think it's their respect for themselves and families that makes them not want to take that step. Women by nature is use to sacrifising but that doesn't mean she needs to loose her self respect.
