I’m not very knowledgeable, so I could be wrong about this, but I think a person can write a will for only 1/3rd of his wealth and the rest will be distributed as per the Shariah law.

Yes Sister you are right one should only bequeath or gift to charity 1/3 and let the rest be distributed according to the Sharia Law!
