Re: western attitude towards enemies
Western attitutudes and in particular the American attitude to war is one of the most shamefull, arrogant, ignorant and downright dispicable attitudes in the entire history of warfare.
Sure many nations have fought endless wars throughout history, my own people pride themselves on being the greatest warriors of the Steppes.
However in the West and particularly in American history "Total War" has been the name of the game for a long time. Whereas even the likes of the Taliban have summer and winter campaigns and most such armies openly go in search of booty.... the Americans have for a long time deliberately massacred entire races of people whom they did not agree with.
Since its earliest History the American nation has all but wiped out most of the Native American Indian Nations. From my recent and eye opening visit to America I realised that what we are seeing today is no different to the campaigns these same civilised and supposedly God Fearing people have done to others in the past.
There is very little difference to todays FATA raids and drone strikes compared to Massacres such as Wa****a, Sand Creek and Wounded Knee.
Also the American millitary was the largest collector of scalps throughout the Indian wars, they also mutilated far more innocent Women and Children too, likewise today the American millitary has like Abu Ghraib and Bagram commited terrible attrocities on innocents... the recent and shocking body part collecting tendencies being an obvious case.
So much for the high standards of humanity. The Americans have never had a leader anywhere near as humane as the likes of Cochise or Tasunka Witeinko (Crazy Horse) who on many occasions tried to avoid confrontation with the "White Man" and who chose of thier own free will to lay down thier weapons for the sake of peace and so that thier peoples suffereings could end.
Anyone with any sense of History can see how warfare in the Western world has always been worse than Asian warfare. Chandragupta Muryan, Tzun Tzu, Salahudin, Khalid bin Al Waleed, Tsubadai Bahadur, Miyamoto Musashi and Tipu Sultan were all revolutionary war leaders of the non Western way of thinking. All of them were legendary for thier humane and tactically sound strategies. Compare these with the likes of Oliver Cromwell, Napoleon Bonaparte, General Lee and General Grant, Kluaswitz and General Douglas Mc Arthur and you realise that there is a major difference the latter group had almost no regard for the lives of thier own men or the enemy. Napoleon was probably the kindest of the latter group.
