On a serious note, India will be under trmendous pressure to square the innings and Windies might just take advantage of that and win the match.

A very absorbing series this is. It will be good to have west indies play good cricket but overall don’t u people think that the cricket’s been average?

And remember we lost to Indians at home but WI are winning, where does it put us:bummer:

You can’t judge teams like that. We beat England after they beat Australia. Where does that put us? :slight_smile:

I think one series win vs pak made india top class team and one series defeat vs WI will bring them back them to their original position(mind you SL and Eng were 2nd and 3rd grade teams).

If we win against India in the world cup it will put an end to "we always beat Pakistan" in the world cup comment.
Many Indians use that as a yard stick to compare the two teams. Honestly I don't see Pakistan winning the world cup. I am hoping and praying for it but logically i see a remote possibility of winning.
WI has improved quite a lot from when i saw them last. WC will truly be an interesting affair this time around

Hmm, India WI match… and a great discussion on… HOw much we hate to lose India, how much we will love to beat India even at the cost of WC, how much joy we are getting to see India lose…:smiley:

This is just another Chappelian tactics, ie. to get people interested in the game. We were supporting our teams and watching all matches, when Indian were loosing to all the countries who knows how to bat and bowl. At that time we were watching it because we should not loose one game where India would have by some fluke may win it. But of late things became very one dimensional, Indians were winning for a change, and many of us lost interest.
Obviously Chappel and Pawer understood that this will turn out to be damper for Indian cricket, so they devised an idea about loosing a few matches to creat the impression that Indian team is still that old team India who can loose to any country on a given day.
Note. pun intended.
