Perhaps India could have got a few more runs in the end but 192 was potentially a match-winning total. Bowlers just did not perform (or were not allowed to..)
I do not have the stats to hand but I would think that 190-plus is a match-winning total 90% of the time in T20 cricket.
Had the target been 10-15 runs bigger, Windies batsmen might have accelerated even more from the start but they might have also lost more wickets in the process. No one can say with absolute certainty as to what might have happened. South Africa could not defend 229 against England in Super 10!
It is impossible to analyze games in hindsight. That said some of Dhoni's decisions do not make sense at all, like not bowling Ashwin's full quota of overs
I agree 192 was good target. But that does not mean with 5 overs to go and 8 wickets in hand, you should keep your big hitters in the pavilion qnd come in yourself (Dhoni). When Dhoni himself acknowledges he is NO LONGER a big hitter, that is why he likes to bat number 4 to consolidate. In the case with 5 overs to go, where was the need to consolidate? You need a batsman who creams the ball from the get go.
Windies got 24 runs of 4 balls in last over. Dhoni got 15 runs off 9 balls. With 2 of those runs being overthrow. That is where he lost the match. Because sending a big hitter was a no brainer with 8 wickets in hand and 5 overs to go. I was screaming at the TV.

I believe wi played really really well to win against india. N I think Dhoni captained very well to bring the match to last over. Else match may have finished before that.
