The timing sucks…not just because of the flood but because of the month of Ramadan.
And nobody needs to educate me on the way these events are planned…I know that venues are booked a year or so in advance…but we knew of Ramadan being in this month more than a year ago, right?

I’m sure that the organizer could have saved herself a great deal of additional negative publicity if she had gone to her suppliers/partners/participants and post-poned the event citing extenuating circumstances (i.e. the flood). Heck, she might even have garnered some sympathy/respect.
