I’ve lived in the UK for 20+ years and was pretty much raised here…yet I have never been to Windsor Castle…until today!
I’ve been on a training session at work for the last few days with colleagues who have come from Germany, Austria, Russia, Italy and Canada…all of whom expressed an interest in visiting the castle while in the UK.
Being the only member of the group from the host country…and the office being not too far from Windsor, I took them on an excursion to the castle today…and here are some pictures to share with you all
The inside was far more beautiful and varied than the outside - but photography was prohibited :(
But...my Austrian colleague took some 'illegal' pics on the sly while he was in there. So when he emails them to me - I will share!
One of the most beautiful items was a huge solid gold tiger's head which was taken as a trophy from Tipu Sultan. My colleagues were hilarious they kept whispering really loudly 'look at all this stolen stuff!'
