Well there goes my chance of going to the 2007 World Cup!

If you guys haven’t heard.. tickets are now on sale for the World Cup 2007.

I finished applying for the tournament and applied to purchase some tickets. Now I have final exams that will end on April 20th. Being in Canada, its pretty easy to get a flight to the West Indies, so I thought maybe I will get the chance to see the two semi’s and final at least.

Nope.

If you plan on seeing the Semi Finals and Final, you must also buy 3 preliminary matches (group stages or Super 8).

This really makes me mad cause I already had accomodation, vechile, friends coming along, holidays booked afterwards, etc.

Anyways.. good luck guys.

Buy tickets for round games involving india....then sell them on Ebay...coz there will be many indians who are going to wanna watch their team play...and would be looking for tickets at that time....u caneven make some money this way.

very clever!!!:D

I think the preliminary games are registered under your personal information. Therefore it would be difficult to transfer the information to the new buyer, because they will know that you still have the semi and final tickets under your name.

And I dont think its allowed to be resold on eBay.

Nikema  that reminds me of that famous joke of three Indians and three Pakistanis traveling in train without tickets.

Tell us the joke plz!

Re: Well there goes my chance of going to the 2007 World Cup!

^ Here you go :hehe:

Three Indians and three Pakistanis are traveling by train to a Cricket match at the World Cup in South Africa. At the station, the three Indians buy a ticket each and watch as the three Pakistanis buy just one ticket for them all. “How are the three of you going to travel on only one ticket?” asks one of the Indians. “Watch and learn,” answers one of the Pakistanis.

They all board the train. The Indians take their respective seats but all three Pakistani cram into a toilet and close the door behind them. Shortly after the train departs, the conductor comes around collecting tickets. He knocks on the toilet door and says, “Ticket please.” The door opens just a crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The conductor takes it and moves on.

The Indians see this and agree it was quite a clever idea. So after the game, they decide to copy the Pakistani style on the return trip and save some money (being clever with money, and all that). When they get to the station, they buy one ticket for three on the return trip. To their astonishment, the Pakistanis don’t buy ticket at all!! “How come are you going to travel without a ticket?” says one perplexed Indian. “Watch and learn,” answers a Pakistani.

When they board the train the three Indians cram into one toilet and soon after the three Pakistanis cram into another nearby toilet. The train departs. Shortly afterwards, one of the Pakistanis leaves the toilet and walks over to the toilet where the Indians are hiding. He knocks on the door and says, “Ticket please.” The door opens just a crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The Pakistani takes the ticket and goes in their toilet.

 Teaser bhai, Enjoyed it fully… Thanks for sharing… I bet anytime you need some mufta techniques, ask a Pakistani brother. I remember couple of years ago in Dallas, there was Shehzad Roy and Sukhbir Singh concert and our group of 5 friends arrived late. We didn’t have tickets for the concert and went inside anyways. At the door, a Black guy stopped us and asked for tickets. One of my friends told him that we are late so we should be given discount since we missed half the show. Anyhow, from somewhere it came to his mind to give him $20 for all us 5 (meaning $4/person) as a bribe and in that way no one had to buy a ticket. To my surprise, the guy put $20 in his pocket and let us all go. I couldn’t believe for a while but it happens but it’s very hard to trick a desi guy on the stand… They know us…:frowning:
