Getting up at 4:30 am and gobbling “Paratha”, drinking Hot Tea & lots of water all within an hour, praying and then I sleep again for about 2 hours before I go about my office.
In the afternoon watching every one in a rush, trying to reach home before dusk (Aftaar). Delicious food at stalls on the roadside, looking even more tempting, delicious and irresistible because of the fast. Coming home with Aftari a bit more then enough and in the end not eating even half of my share.
At night going out shopping, mostly for “decorative items & Eid Clothes”, watching Girls buy fragile glass bangles, jewelry and bright colored dresses, usually in different shades of reds and Boys getting new Kurtas, dresses and shoes. Every one buying gifts for their friends, family and loved ones. Markets open throughout the night and roads as busy as they were at day.
Praying the a bit more then the usual and trying a bit more to stay away from sins this is how I spend my Ramadan .
Just a few more days and then all this festivity will be missed for a whole year.
