What i need is idea’s for table displays when you walk into the halls. My mehendi and wedding hall have large foyers. I want to put a table in the foyer with something on them for the guests.
On the mehendi i was considering a round table with a fruit palm tree and lots of fruits in lines leading up to it , with maybe some sweets/ chocolate lines to bring the cost down!
On the barat day i am having a rectangular table… as circular wont work there. We are having welcome drinks , i was considering an ice sculpture with mine and hubbys name and the date engraved on it , with two strawberry pyramids or 4 of them with maybe some chocolate fondue stands ( not sure fondue stands will be provided!!) or some ferroro rochers pyramids??
any other idea’s would be appreciated, my mehendi is a crazy colourful morccon theme ,barat is a classic regal wedding theme ( red and golds!)
No chocolate fountains please! i already had one on my engagement do !!
One of the wedding’s I attended had a large rectangular table in the foyer. The couple had an ice sculpture in the middle, the rest of the table was completely covered with fresh fruit and they had a drinks fountain, which was more for effect as drinks were separate; it had a very frothy liquid which gave a nice effect.
For my sister’s wedding, we had a welcome table set up with a large glass vase.
All over the table we had strewn these really decorative pretty cards and pens. We also had a small poem in a frame asking guests to write down any marital advice they could think of for the new couple.
Guests came, wrote down whatever they wished and dropped it in the vase.
I will however have cupcakes being lined up without the funky glass effect ( nobody will do it for me ) , i will ask the caterer to pack the actual cake for me to take with me to my in-laws place for the post shadi rasms and cut the cake there!
Stop it , i like ice scultpure’s but i think i like cupcakes more!!
Reha , that is a fab idea! i can do this on the walima
thank you!!
now i have a headache of thinking of mehendi table idea’s! yikes!
