You are lucky to be in Beijing because you get to be in a place that's the focal point of the entire world! Here in USA the media has been doing a great job shedding some light on the bird's nest, Chinese restaurants, what to do and what not to do, the language, people, and much more. It's pretty exciting.

ohhhh did you volunteer at the opening ceremony? how cool! it started way too early for north americans here, but i caught the lighting of the torch and the fireworks and wow that was just so cool! :D

Yes, I am one of a volunteer at the opening ceremony.
It started at PM8:08:08 8/8/2008 after that I feel very tired…

oh wow! how did it feel to be in the stadium when it was all happening? i mean on the TV it was just wow!

according to the radio, the word 8 (in chinese) sounds like the word prosperity . err maybe chineseduo can explain it better

uh..it ended at 12 am EST. where have you been :smilestar: runnnnnnn go watch reruns of it happening! my dad’s watching it right now.

yep chinese peepz and pakistanis are like brothers and sisters;)
i have a chinese friend and we have so much in common, certain things she tells me and their traditions well they dont differ much than ours.
i guess coz its we're like family;)
