Throw off your veil and hitch up your skirt, knock back a rum and tear off a shirt.
For surely then all ills off the world will be cured along with your liver.
Liberate with bombs, re-write religions to fit your needs, erect and dismantle regimes and sow the seeds.
Suppress rights at home and uphold them abroad, at signs of your weakness be sure to cry fraud.
Strike fear in the fearless, then kill meek, surround them like vultures then wet your beak.
The new world chaos born from order, a country of consumers with an ever extending border.
Welcome home, we missed like mad; now join the ranks for our trip to Riyadh.
There’ll come a day when the machine will rust, and truly all men will be equal when turned to dust.

Beautifully written. Well done! :k:
Thap yaar, I see that you have this war thing very seriously. Cheer up, and get used to it. Don’t be so pathetic.

Lame. Stick to hawking pyramid t-shirts to tourists.
Good work there, nice ending.
One of the lines above reminded me of a poem by Ibn-e-Insha (deeewar-e-girya). It brings tears to my eyes every time I read it.:k:

Althought not as good as yours, Thap, here is the poem by poet laureate Andrew Motion...
Regime Change
by Andrew Motion
Advancing down the road from Niniveh
Death paused a while and said 'Now listen here.
You see the names of places roundabout?
They're mine now, and I've turned them inside out.
Take Eden, further south: At dawn today
I ordered up my troops to tear away
Its walls and gates so everyone can see
That gorgeous fruit which dangles from its tree.
You want it, don't you? Go and eat it then,
And lick your lips, and pick the same again.
Take Tigris and Euphrates; once they ran
Through childhood-coloured slats of sand and sun.
Not any more they don't; I've filled them up
With countless different kinds of human crap.
Take Babylon, the palace sprouting flowers
Which sweetened empires in their peaceful hours -
I've found a different way to scent the air:
Already it's a by-word for despair.
Which leaves Baghdad - the star-tipped minarets,
The marble courts and halls, the mirage-heat.
These places, and the ancient things you know,
You won't know soon. I'm working on it now.'

Tomahawk Summer.
They came to liberate,
Not inclined to deliberate,
Bringing their very own season,
From castles in the sky,
They watched them die,
For scant rhyme or reason.
Summer came early this year,
A season of terrible fear,
Raining fire from above,
Children watched in awe,
Before igniting like straw,
For this was Uncle Sam’s love.
Gupshup's poet laureate Thap.

It looks like some lessons have been learned from FOX news, and only positive comments are tolerated, so... well done Thap. Your originality and talent for poetry has shown through once again.
The perpetual cessation of Malcontent
They blame the others of their misfortunes
for it is their own hatred that times became importune
They ask for freedom but can’t speak
because their own biases have made them weak
In search of perfection they kill and maim
while it is democracy that will make them sane
with each passing day they become free
through their own shattered beliefs and the US army
with new fond freedom they will sing
“we thank America..let freedom ring”
That does it. the whole lot of you can clear off.
