OK. This is uber-awkwad. Since march i’ve been experiencing this kind of whooshing sound in my brain every morning after waking up and just before going to bed. It goes in a sort of wave-like pattern (the sound intensity) … and it goes away after a few minutes. But the sound also puts kind of pressure on my head where i feel i cant lift it up properly … like in a bad headache where it become difficult to keep your head straight .. only that with me, its not a headache, just wavering pressure.
anyone else experienced this? would you go to a doctor for this? i feel really stupid going to a doctor and saying i hear sounds. especially with the a-hole of a doctor that i have.
p.s. i am sure your humor would be appreciated in other threads.
Not of the kind that is making me go paranoid. No.
haha No i didnt mean it in that way!
As in sometimes when you are really anxious your blood pressure can get a little high for a few fleeting moments and you can here a 'blood rush' in your ears and your head can feel fuzzy and like its pulsating
ya! anxiety sounds like a possibility along with stress/depression.
Also, i think it cud be nasal congestion linked with the ears which is doing this to your head. You must see a doc, never ignore such signs.
I do have an ear problem. And I have been to the doctor for that. but they have passed it off as "nothing serious" .. and every time they just prescribe me these silly drops that i am getting majorly ticked off by.

:) well .. this bloodrush/pressure kind of feeling is quite contained to "after getting up" and "before going to bed" ... regardless of what time that happens ... and i wouldn't really say that i get anxious at these times.
Just asked my dad he is a ear, nose and throat surgeon he said It could be inflammation in the ear if its a whooshing sound in the ear.
So go to your GP and get him to look :)
ah, good. typically i'd say, i experience these sounds in the head ... my husband was curious, he put his ear to my ear and then he said .. yea .. i can hear it too ... :/ ...
iv had a problem with my ear for a long time now. the only time i was satisfied with a doctor was when i wen to this ent specialist in lahore, and he prescribed me a capsule for the inflammation or whatever is happening in there. it worked like a charm. but when the problem struck again, i wasnt in lahore anymore .. went to the gp here in netherlands .. and he gave me these drops and he keeps giving me those. and hes a bad listener. i hate going to him.

Then get a second opinion , na , from an ENT specialist. Your inflammation might be beyond gp's skills.
