how come now anyone can put any ringing tone and no one complains? I don’t think that it is a private/personal matter as far as it ‘reaches our ears’.
In the office, in a middle of a very serious meeting, and AAJA NACH LAI…AAJA NAACH LAI… as if we are in a disco, and sure you know what a Sonny Erricson Can do!
Or in a big bank where eveyone is in pleasent silence and suddenly a young man’s GSM rings and a whisling sound or a mewing kitting grapping your attention by force of ‘rudeness’
Another Indian lady is putting a very noisy Indian movie song, and YES we must hear it every day a 100 times just because no one has the right to 'ask that lady to switch it lower or even change it.
Now tell me, do you think putting a ban or a fine on those who use such irritating ringing tones will be a possible thing or it is just impossible?
People will always find ways to be obnoxious. The only way to handle it is through social disapproval. If people don't disapprove, then it won't change.
Sigh! I'd like to ban the things altogether. Now we are all slaves of our telephones and can't escape bosses and other important figures who insist on being available 24/7.
I also hate to see people walking around with their ears stuffed with music like they are all alone. They are NOT alone! The world has other people in it and you should pay some minimum attention to them. It's like a big sign that says, "None of you are worth my trouble." And if you have to make a comment to them for some reason, you can't get past the blaring sounds.
But you know...they don't really mean any harm. They aren't trying to be disrespectful. They're just trying to relax and they're following what they see others doing.
There are already too many rules in society. We need to be getting rid of thousands of them, not inventing new ones. The world is not a nursery school and we are not nannies.
work banned cellular phones usage all together. reasons were obviously this, plus later on it became a suspendable act to have personal electronics into the building.
in theatres we always are reminded to turn off/silence the phones. personally, in public places like bank lineups or like hospitals, i would like to put up those signs too. police stations, banks, hospitals, schools, all these spots should be silent zones, phones if must taken, should be on silent.
A very high ringing tone of a very noisy piece of music = sound pollution! Some people have thicker ears so they may not be bothered but hay, what about those who have sensitive ears and taste who just have ears as sharp as an eagle’s eye?
I am one of those who live by my ears, and can’t help not to listen, when can help not to speak or not to look. What can I do whith my ears being abused every now and then?
This thread may come meaningful to many who taste music and have ears made of gold so.. Don’t blame me for being special!
yeah this is quite a serious issue.....ppl should care abt others too usually i find ringtones wid a lot of music n sum of em appeal to me but then i think would it be nice to others ears or would it be too loud to divert other's attention n then even if i like i dont use it or just keep a lower volume
Well forget all other public places, nothing is more annoying than this!
I tell you worst of all is at Masjid, right in the middle of Jamaat. Specially Jummah prayers… someone alsways leaves their mobile on and they always get called exactly when the prayer has started.. and they cant even reach it quicky to turn it off.. Sometimes they get called again when the first time it was not answered
They have sign boards on the main door reminding ppl to turn off or at least put it on silent. Still some dont care to read.
as far as I know, at all Hospitals in Holland mobile phone must be turned off before entering the main entrance! I donno about US/Canada waghera?
god chill ppl , im sure deres bigger issues to worry abt den ringtones u dun like it dun hear it , i understand dey r annoying bt u cnt ban dem now everyone hs deyre own choice . and mobile phone r very useful in sum ways as in emergencies n wen ur lost so
Get a load of this…THE CEO of a pretty large company in Paksitan had a really techno ring on high volume set during every meeting we attended with him..and he would actually ANSWER the calls every time..Those days the RAZR was new and he boastfully showed off his new toy..
In the masjid, every one is sitting in tashahud, complete silence prevailing, and some idiot’s phone starts a hip hop tone cause his wife needed to talk to him or something…
:sheesh:
