Re: Weird Question - I hope somebody has an answer
Stomach Cancer...are you sure ? It is one of those cancers with mostly bad prognosis.
Don't want to turn this thread into a Cancer discussion though. Would be interested if anybody has a reliable source to the answer to this question.
On a related note, I recently discovered that Malcolm Marshall died of Colon Cancer about 8 years ago. For some reason, I thought he was still alive.

Stomach cancer indeed has bad prognosis.
The only thing I remember is watching his come back match several times since I recorded it when the highlites were shown on TV. For some reason I remember commentators applauding him when Miandad was caught at point of his bowling, talking about stomach cancer and his remarkable recovery.
Re: Weird Question - I hope somebody has an answer
Malcolm Marshall died of cancer which was diagnosed while he was incharge of the windies team during the 1999 world cup. He was taken ill during the tournament and was diagnosed having cancer and died shortly thereafter.
Simon was diagnosed with cancer but can't remember which one it was.

^So you are sure it was Stomach Cancer ? 100% sure ?
Probably it was early 90's when I last saw the highlites of his comeback game, so can't be sure of something that old.
For my curiosity sake, I have emailed steven lynch of cricinfo regarding this thru cricinfo feedback request form. I have contacted him 3-4 times in the past as well and he is pretty good in replying back with the correct info.
