do you have steel pan? make it in that... also try changing the custard brand .... we use birds eye i think !

ok i,ll try..i stir quite nicley and gave it a boil as well.... may b i put less quantity because i had a fear that if i put ample quantity it will turn oout jama huwa very much aur tukra banjayega....

You can mix a bit extra and pour it gently while stirring, then you will have an idea about how thich it is getting. I hope that made sense.

I always make it in a teflon (non-stick) pot (and mine is old too.... almost 4 years old :p), never had issues with the custard burning or sticking to the bottom.
Use a wooden spoon and keep the heat low to medium-low, it won't stick to the bottom.
