Weird combinations, wots urs?

I can have lemonade or sprite with icecream :stuck_out_tongue:
also having dinner and having tea at the same time..

paratha with maralade :D

zarda with saalan :p

Whats 'maralade'? Is it the same as 'marmalade'?

Anyway, Biryani+Zarda+Qorma is great. I think its actually a proper dish in Punjab, called 'Mu-tangann'.

I know some people who eat Biryani/zarda mixed with kheer. I never quite understood that one.

Myself, I fancy french fries with mayonnaise. :yummy: When I was younger, I used to dip my fries in coke. It isn’t as appealing now though.

Vlasic Kosher Crunchy Dill Pickles with tabasco sauce. For non-amreekuns, these pickles are not spicy and come as fermented in a jar.

Zarda with yoghurt. I hated the thought of it till i tried it and now whenever mum makes zarda...once in a blue moon...it's got to be with yoghurt. Also zarda mixed with pulao.
My sister was raving about ranch dressing over daal chaaval. I will be trying it today.

FG being a desi I am more curious about tabasco sauce. What is it?

Femme are you serious? Yogurt as in raita, the namkeen kind? Or plain yogurt?

My friends do that and sometimes they dip their chips in their milkshakes too.

I like mixing coke with fanta/orange juice/ribena/any other soft drink. :yummy:

Plain yoghurt Sehar. Its pretty good. Esp if the rice itself is warm.

Femme, kabhi zard shalwar kameez pehen kar tasweer khichwao aur mujhay bhaijo. Mujhay shak paRta hai tum bhi zarday kee plate hee lago gee.

Femme, I think I can work with plain yogurt and zarda and give it a try

Meri Piyari Femme,

Tabasco sauce is this red patlee sauce that comes in a small long neck bottle (jaisay Budweiser beer ki hauti hain) with Tabasco written on it. It's origins are from Louisiana (some Punjabis believe it should be called Ludihana Sauce for it's pepper taizness). It is made from red chilli peppers. It complements very well with Heinz Ketchup. The marriage of these two red sauces is heavenly when eaten with french fries. I think the French connection of New Orleans has a lot to do with this pairing. It is heavenly good.

I can't think of anything that can't be eaten with Tabasco sauce. Nowadays, it also comes in a green chilli version which is a lot more spicier and sure to give the consumer some very green moments the morning after.

PS. Eat at your own risk.

Meray not as pyaaray FG,

So basically its an extra hot chilly sauce. I have had that. I don’t like it on its own. With ketchup it is indeed lickworthy to its last drop. I am just awful with names be it movies, dramas or food. I can tell by the story, cast, ingredients, taste but almost never by the names :bummer:

Roman ab mein tumhari tarha kaali kaloti tau hoon nahi jo zard rung mein tempting na lagoon :stuck_out_tongue:

BTW, has anyone ever had yougurt over gajraila? :yummy:

I once saw a man order Vodka with water. :smack:

Would you stop serving us with alcoholic jokes. Most of those go over us anyway. We don't know the difference between Vodka and Gin and Rum and Martini. OK?

^ Neither does he.

float

ICEcream with any soda is called float...

First of all it is not a joke, toadstool. Secondly, there ar eenough alcohol drinkers on this site so spare the lecture.
