Waqar Younis charges in as Matthew Bell demonstrates his unusual batting stance which gives the bowlers a full view of the stumps, day 1, 2nd Test at Christchurch, 15-19 March 2001.

Re: Weird and stylish Batting stances
^^ this one indeed is the wierdest one...
Re: Weird and stylish Batting stances
Ijaz Ahmed and Chanderpaul have the worst batting stance of all. Bell dude is like he has problem standing straight or something. More like a made up one to distract the bowler. Javed Miandad also had an ugly (bhangi with a jhaaro) stance. But was a classic batsman indeed.
You guys forgot Imran Khan. He had the most beautiful batting stance of his time.
Re: Weird and stylish Batting stances
I think Greg Blewett was a very (and probably still is) stylish batsman. I used love his cover drives.
I've seen Arvinda De Silva hit a leg stump half volley for six behind square leg off the back foot!!! and I think the reason why he could do it is because of his stance and the diff in the lenght of the legs.

Dito
and the way Khan sahib used to hit a six on the straight was awesome to watch.

WB teaser!
Re: Weird and stylish Batting stances
I used to copy Aamir Sohail's stance, as i am a left hander too, but it is freaking hard to defend the swinging yorkers and i got LBW or bowled couple of time until i changed it.
I like Saeed Anwar & Stephen Fleming ( for left handers) , Steve & Mark Waugh, Ricky Ponting, Rahul Dravid, Alec Stewart, Inzi, all i can remember right now.
