Weird and Extreme weather patterns

  • China is going through the worst winter storms in half a century.
  • Snow fall in Baghdad (once in a century kinda thing)
  • Hail storm in Islamabad (granted its not so rare, but fairly unusual)
  • Snowfall in parts of Saudi (probably not unheard of in hilly areas)
  • Lahore going through extreme cold weather.
    *]California literally buried under excessive rain fall and unusually long cold patch.
    I am pretty sure many other parts of the world are also going through these curious and extreme weather patterns. So, is it just El Nino (a.k.a. “we don’t know whats going on”) or is it an indication of global warming which will reverse weather patters in many parts of the world?

Rainfall and snow in sierra nevada and other parts in Cali was much needed. It was almost drought-like conditions here. Even in So Cal we have a weather now ;)

^ It didn't rain at all here in November. And now its pouring cats and dogs for weeks and weeks.

Northern Cal went through extreme hot weather in '06 summer when even the power transformers got burnt. This was followed by excessively cold weather in the winter. Whereas it usually would be a mild summer and mild winter.

It could just be a coincidence, of course. :)

yep it was extremely hot in So Cal as well last summer temps were in tripple digits even near the coastal areas. such extreme weather patterns are signs of global warming. dont believe me then ask Al Gore (he also invented internet btw). I dont quite understand the El Nino or La Nina. They mention it all the time on TV news but dont explain much about it, something to do with warm and cold currents
