It seems to be the trend where I am, and what’s in the injections is a mystery, which is why I’m surprised so many people are still choosing to go ahead and get 'em done. Actually, no, I’m not. But yeah, so, I also know of some people who are doing “lipogel” injections.

I think you're referring to Leptin injections, its a hormone made from proteins produced by fat cells and supresses appetite. Scientists say that people who are obese lack this hormone and thats why injecting it can help.
Lipogel injections are just a form of 'filler' like Restylane, Fibrel or Gortex and are a way to replace lost or damaged collagen in the skin.
