Re: weight loss after delivery

my sister in law is pretty much fitting back into her pre-preg clothes and the baby is 6 mnths old. She was really patli to begin with but gained a good 60 lbs during pregnancy. Im pretty sure the breastfeeding helped and I think shes wearing a tummy tucker too - she eats very slowly but eats everything :)

Re: weight loss after delivery

I lost 25lbs in 5-6 weeks, without trying. BFig and the stress of new mommyhood did it all. Those last 15 pounds are still here 5 months later. I find exercise really affects my BF supply. I'm not worried about weight but shape. But I'll have to wait a little until I'm happy with that I guess.

Re: weight loss after delivery

you should be eating healthy during pregnancy and shoudl continue afterwards... thats all... u lose a huge chunk in water weight adn baby weight once ure done delivering... the remaining few pounds are the hardest to get rid of..but u can do it.... just dont go on a strict diet cuz it will affect ure milk production and honestly... u need all teh energy to take care of urseelf in healing.. and the new baby... sleep deprivation will be there so imagine not having anything in ure tummy ... u will soon become agigtated and irritated...

take it easy.. uve just had a baby.... relax:) it took u 9 months to put that weight on.. dont expect to get rid of it in 3 months... give it a yr...

my son is 13 months and im wearing my pre pregnancy clothing.. my body shape is diff but eh weight is teh same... so even if u do lose ure weight gain... ure clothign may still not fit u cuz of the changed body shape...

Re: weight loss after delivery

One of my cousins was a size 0/2 before her pregnancy and shot up to size 12 (US sizes btw)...a little less than 2 years later, shes back at her pre-baby shape but she worked extremely hard for it.

Sahar...how did exercise affect ur milk supply.... I am hoping once the baby is here and I am healed enough to exercise I wanna get into 3 hours per week of vigorous exercise and possibly incorporate some walking in my schedule too...

Any other ladies who went through this???

Re: weight loss after delivery

Oh and i’m not pregnant but i think theres enough evidence (anecdotal and real?) that suggests the more healthy you eat and exercise during pregnancy, the easier it will be to shed the baby weight… u dont have to run or do aerobics (unless u already do it to begin with), but walking, pre-natal yoga etc is good enough.

I saw a video on bethenny frankel…she lost 25 of her 30 lbs in 3 weeks…

I don’t know if she was going to extremes or not, but the two principles–not pigging out and staying active–seem safe enough.
