I was just browsing through the “AJ kaya pakaya” thread and ladies, a big applause for all of your culinary accomplichments. I was just wondering how do you guys manage your worklaod with jobs ,studies and all the household. I am a full time student and some times I find it hard to come home and get the time to cook.So the next best thing is take out which I find myself doing quite often lately. The take out options are usually not healthy with husband like mine who picks out any green stuff he see in food. Anyway I was hoping to get suggestions here about how to have home cook meal on weekdays. Any ideas?

Cook an extra salan on days you have off from school or on weekends. Or make healthy, quick meals. I have finally gotten my husband hooked on vegetables whereas before he wouldnt touch them, now he thinks brocoli and salad is delicious.

its not a big deal..only it needs ur management skills...once u know how to tackle, u r there...i have controlled my hotling habits alot and lost much weight just becz i cook at home..we have not stopped hotling but we have decided to do it only on weekends...and rest we eat at home..u can make much dishes when u r in a hurry...andon ka khageena...tahiri....achari aloo...anday chanay.....chicken corn soup...spaghetti...prawns karahi ..dear the list is quiet long..it depends on u what u take easy and what not...for someone cooking biryani is nothing and for someone thinking of making an omellette is a hell...

cook together on weekends and make 2-3 things that you can freeze/refrigerate for the whole week ![]()

Most chicken and fish dishes can be put together and cooked fast . 10-30 minutes max.
Also you can put things together and leave them in freezer/refrigerator ready to be cooked and when you need them just put them on the stove or in the oven and you will have freshly cooked meal ready within minutes not hours.

A few examples.
Chicken shashlick prepared the sticks and freeze them when you need to cook take them out , either bake or fry and that is it.
Chicken Jalfrezie . let it marinate in a bag or box and leave it in fridge or freezer , when you need to cook take it out and cook it.
Fish fry , bakes , just let it marinate till you need to cook and cook it in the nick of time .
Seikh kabab, shami kabab, chapli kabab, chicken , goat , lamb karahi all can be put togather and kept in freezer ,on, cook it when you need it basis.
These are some ideas , possibilities are endless use your imagination.
