We have a tradition in our family, that the mayoun (and sometimes mehndi outfits) are stitched and then the ladies of the family embellish them with gota, thread and sequins and so forth. I would love it if my nani, khalas, mum’s cousins and mum do that for me. It would be highly personal and definitely make me happy. Yellows and multicouloured gota.

Wedding wise, red. Mum’s jewellery. My khala is a designer so I will let her take over.

Walima- I would want my in laws to pick and choose if they could. It would be a nice present for them.

I have picked the engagement outfit I want- its purple and ivory with gold work.
