Wedding Venues

**Salam,

I need urgent assistance in finding a nice suitable wedding venue in Lahore for my brother's Walima and mehndi. I have searched the forums but I would like to have the latest information on the wedding venues.

My family does not want to rely on the relatives back in Lahore

I would like to know prices / contact numbers / reviews about food, service and venue itself, and if it includes the decorations as well.

Heeeeelllppp Guppians :frowning: **

Re: Wedding Venues

Hi,

I was in the same situation so started researching some of the well-known hotels in Lahore for my Nikkah. I found that most ppl prefer the Pearl Cont. and the Royal Palm. They are the most well known. The hall depends on the date of your event (subject to availability) and also the number of ppl attending. I have about 140 ppl attending (I settled on Royal Palm) so they recommended the Fairways or the Dome (Dome was an extra Rs. 50,000 if you didn’t meet the 200 ppl mark).

The rates I have stated below are from a few weeks ago so they might differ in price when you call, also, the price doesn’t include tax.

There is a new rule in Pakistan regarding the time the halls have to close down. At the moment, all events have to end at 10 pm sharp! They give you 15 mins to exit the building and close all but one light (towards the exit). I was pretty shocked to hear this but I guess its the law at the moment. (RUMOR)

As far as food goes, I hear mix reviews about the food at all hotels. They serve one dish but give you all you can eat salad (from what I have heard) and you have to order desert.

The contact info is available on the websites stated below or online (Google everything:))

Decoration is another story. Some of the prices are available at the bottom. Most hotels have a decorator but charge a lot more for convenience. I am looking into a few event managers at the moment and they seem kinda steep with their prices. Ranging anywhere from Rs. 70,000 to the max I have heard so far (for the Dome) is Rs. 350,000.

My cousin mentioned that if you are to go to a florist with a design of a stage/hall/tables, they can recreate everything for you. They just need to order flowers beforehand and send a decorator to your location on the day of your event. I have heard that stages start anywhere from Rs. 25,000 and onward.

I hope all this helps…If you have any other questions…def ask:)

Cheers!!

p.s. sorry for any typos:)

Re: Wedding Venues

i went through the same thing for my wedding! we went with mughal-e-azam for both functions and were quite pleased. the halls were nicely decorated and clean (they were also rennovating at that time so maybe it will look diff than some of their old pics online)...but in any case, check out their website you can see pics from each hall and decide if you like them. they have decoration options which start from around 10,000 rupees and go up depending on how fancy you want it. i suggest it they did a pretty decent job and they have a whole digital album you can go through and decide what you like (it can include centerpieces, stage decor, outside the hall decor, table covers, etc). the only thing i wasnt crazy about was their food, but i havent found any wedding hall here to have great food...they are all average. there's some law that you can only serve like 2 dishes plus salad plus sweet dish at weddings...so all the halls make pretty much the same things and the same quality more or less. anyhow hope that helps good luck!
