I’m getting married in March/April time next year iA.
A little about me - I’m a 25 yo British Pakistani male, since my family is based in London I won’t really have that much time to plan the wedding.
However, I have a few questions and would aprreciate if someone could help.
- First of all, the wedding venue: In my family there are usually two walima’s - one in the village for the door daraaz ke rishtaydar and biraadri who are based in our village. The other one, which is a much smaller affair, with about 100-150 people made up of close family and friends. My quesiton is regarding the second walima - which venue would be good in the Islamabad area for this number of people - I have had a look at Haveli and I’m really impressed with their work. Can anyone let me know how far in advance you have to book the venue with these guys? I’m planning to fo to Pak in October this year - would that be enough time do you think?
Also, I’m looking into hiring an event management company to look after the mehndi function (decor etc) - I’ve had a look at Royale Wedding and event pleanners in Isb - again, if anyone has experience with them, please let me know - i.e how far in advance should I book and what kind of fees they charge and what’s included. I have emialed them in the past but havent had the best communicaiton with them. I assume calling them may be a better idea.
Lastly, in terms of clothes etc, i’m hoping that a six month period should be more than enough time for designers to prepare clothes for the bride?
