Wedding venues/halls in MD/VA

I am looking for a wedding hall (max. with catering $7k) and without catering $5K for 200 ppl. Any suggestions/ideas. I am new to the area so I don’t know what is considered expensive and cheap but I do know anything near DC (Tysons, Rockville, and Arlington will be $$)

I think in that budget (including catering) you won’t be able to do the usual hotel ballrooms (usually at least $30-$70/person, not including food – tho they will negotiate a bit, especially for daytime). But 200 might be too big for many of the restaurant halls. There are a couple other threads on this topic, but I’m happy to help if I can. I am in the area.

Is the Glenview Mansion suitable? Glenview Mansion | City of Rockville

I’ve attended a wedding and a valima there. Lovely, especially for daytime! Not sure about their current rates.

I agree with Sahar - with a $5-7K it might be bit difficult to find an appropriate place. You could look into the hotels in college park, the Marriott Inn or the Hilton garden inn...I've attend weddings there... both places seemed reasonable. And will accommodate outside catering. Also, you could consider renting out halls in the local masjids, one example is of Islamic education center in rockville.

Oh the other place I loved was the Newton White Mansion. Really lovely, and could work out in your budget. It’s just a little further out, in Maryland. http://www.pgparks.com/places/eleganthistoric/newton_intro.html

This is better than the Glenview in that it has a large central room as well as satellite rooms. But of course, Glenview may be more conveniently located.

also consider the Ten Oaks ballroom. They will allow outside catering, but you still need to work with the caterer.

Oh! And check out country clubs and hotels and such in Frederick, where you may be more likely to get deals.
