how much money u can spend on ur wedding or valema dress.
Is it a waste of money. Ppl went across their budgets. Mine were of 60,000 & 58,000 wedding n valema dress respectively 1 year back.

u knw i hate it when family members come up to me...and ask how much is ur bridal budget....what is it to u?
and then once i tell them...OMG rabia thats waste of money, why so high? you dont need to spend that much. wth...its my wedding, my money so let it me.

I'm worried my parents will be spending too much on me though. :/ I know they won't complain because it's my day and they want it to be perfect for me, I just hate the feeling when I know they're spending a lott of money on me. Does anyone know how much it usually costs to get a custom designer outfit made? I don't mean ordering one of their designs, I mean asking them to make the dress in the design I want.. the cut, material, etc. How much in USD would that be??

^ It can be as high as you want it to be. I can't imagine anything less than $5K USD for a high-end designer.

I'd say most start at 3 lakhs but that's normally for a light bridal, it can go up as much as you want from there.. so like Naqsa said, expect around 5k.

If you have time, you can always go to Pakistan yourself to shop around and get clothes made from a karigar according to your choice. It will cut your cost by a huge margin. The only thing with that is you do need to invest time because expect alot of running around after the karigar and tailor. There's also the option of going to bridal shops to get something made to order.

Its a once in a life time oppurtunity, I say go all out, Its never gonna happen again, And if you regret spending so much on your dress... Sell it. (If you dont want the memories)

really enjoing ur gossip girls
i designed my both day dresses
u cn see my walima pic,i spent around 60 to 70,000 PKR on each n they were no less thn any high end designer.
walima dress was v much admired by the family n friends...

I got one for 25k, and the other one for 32k.. Ill post pics later. It's quite nice, I really love it.

All my friends and cousins are thinking it must be super ugly since its so cheap but it's really not. Well it's not like Bunto's or some high end desigenrs obviously but it looks great on me. I cant wait to share pics with ya'll.

Designers can sometimes be highly overrated. A designer bridal doesn't necessarily mean it will be something oh-gosh-stunning. I have seen lots of designer disasters from HSY, Karma, etc and the recent one being that burgandy Nomi Ansari hideous bridal. Alot of times, they turn out to be a waste of money.

What matters is what you love, your style/choice and what looks good on you.
