um, hello, how exciting is 2012 shaping up to be for weddings! lots of amazing forecasts for what’s in and what’s on its way out. and yes, i know you should do what you love, of course, but its good to know there are new and exciting ideas emerging to give a fresh twist on wedding decor and styles.
this is one of my favourites- baby’s breath! aside from having the creepiest flower name ever, when shoved into those red rose bouquets you get at the supermarket, they look cheap and terrible, BUT when used in volume in big beautiful bunches, man, oh, man do they make an impact! and they’re not expensive! yay!

and still more:
what are some trends y’all are seeing specific to the desi market? any new ideas for bridals, any new colours or themes emerging? is this the year we’re finally going to move away from varying shades of red and gold? (classic, but also kind of boring at this point, non?)
this is my new favourite blog, methinks, and what i’m also loving are their wedding hair 'do trends- braided hairstyles!. take a look here: http://www.bellethemagazine.com/2012/01/wedding-trends-braided-hairstyles.html
i think this could work really well for those of us who don’t want to wear dupatta’s on their heads for valima’s or engagement parties, not to mention for wedding guests. what do you ladies think? will any of you be sporting this look at your celebrations this year?
