Wedding suit n hijaab

Hey girls
What did u do at ur wedding day if u also wear hijaab? I have been looking n looking for ideas on how to wear my hijaab and still be able to wear the tradition lehnga suit.
I will figure out to cover my neck with jewellery and my top. But I really need good ideas to cover my hair and still wear the dupatta. A cap underneath will just ruin the whole thing and without the cap my hair will show.

Help plzzzzzzzz

Havent bought the outfit yet as there is loads of time yet;)

This sounds like a job for the Image 3 (Fashion) forum.

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

cover the hair with jewels too:blush: …

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

The pictures are really nice but I kinda wanna keep my neck free from the hijaab and isntead cover it with jewellery.

What if I cover my hair with a black net thingy and make it fancy by covering some of the net in the front with beads etc matching the color of my lehnga. Doesnt it sound nice?or would it look awkward?

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

Chameli, I wore a hijab on my wedding. It wasn't the way you want to do it, but if you want, I can pm it to ya.

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

Hinna, it could be one opportunity if necessary. Please PM me:)

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

why not just separate the men and the women at the wedding...so u can wear whatever u want.

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

Just have a segregated wedding instead, you wont have to wear a scarf I don't think.

Covering your neck with jewellry is kind of pointless I'd think..

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

thats what i just said…wise guy  (just messing)

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

not to mention ugly (no offense to anyone) u have to wear a lot of jewelry to do that an in my opnion it doesnt look nice.

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

Its tricky trying to balance jewellery around the neck with hijab. Unless you wear a hijab its unlikely you can cover all the neck and region below. Some skin will eventually show with jewellery, unless you wear as much jewellery around the neck as Mr T  So you may wish to opt for a segregated wedding instead. My cousin did this and didn;t need to wear her hijab at all. Of course the problem today is ppl with cameras and non-mahrams eventually seeing the pics :bummer:

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

Well we are opting for segregated function but still there will be a few na mehrams around. u know how desi weddings are....

hmmmm....I am confused now...I dont wanna show my skin and I dont wanna wear the usual hijaab with my wedding outfit

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

in arab weddings…the men and women are separated. The bride can wear whatever she wants. she can take all the pics she wants., they dance etc …than later on the non-mahram men are allowed to come into the room..at that point the bride puts oh her hijab and abaya.

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

it’s ur wedding…and it’s gonna be memorable inshallah. Just dont get stressed about it all. the pictures and video is what really counts right? maybe u can take the pics without being all covered up and than later put it on …im just trying to give some suggestions…hope im not confusing u more.

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

Chameli420 wearing lehnga suit with hijaab on. What a sight that would be.

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

get something made in pakistan with the same Kaam and color as your dubutta...I've seen some really great versions of it...

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab

^ exactly what i would suggest! get the same kaam for ur lengha on ur hijaab and same colour too...do it like a border kaam for the hijab, and then ur kaam duppatta can be placed right behind the border.....also, place the sides of ur hijaab behind the ear, so this way, u can at least still wear earrings....as for the neck, make ur neck line of ur kameez higher (but not like a turtleneck....), and wear a nice gold choker necklace..by the way, if ur a dulhan, ur goign to be looking down anyways, so no one woudl be able to see ur neck....

i hope u understood what i meant.

Re: Wedding suit n hijaab
