Have you had or know of anyone that lives abroad but had part of their wedding in Pakistan? How did the split work?
I have heard of girls having their mendhi/baraat here and then going back home to do the valima. Does that work out okay? Does the girls side in Pak complain about why they are having only the Valima in Pak? I have also heard of course of people having their entire wedding in Pak, with a small event in their hometown either before they leave or right after they come back. In that situation, how much of your family from abroad flies to Pak to attend the wedding? I’ve also heard of brides flying to Pak with only their mother or father to have the wedding, because the rest of the family abroad can’t afford to fly back to back (so sadd!!)
I guess it depends on how much family you have in Pak vs your home abroad.
