I think there are no weddings held in the month of Muharram. Is it okay to have a wedding in this month…?
And what about the shopping, i’ve heard things are cheaper in Muharram too like gold, wedding dresses etc…

Islamically speaking, theres no restrictions at all, but in some families it might be considered taboo

my bro was origionally suppose to get married during muharram but everyone said there would be riots and i dunno weird stuff going on so we changed the date so his wedding would be before that time. he's getting married in pak...

my family wouldn't even meet up for the first time since it was muharram...so we had to plan our trip after muharram.

There is nothing bad in getting married in Muharram, our religion doesnt forbids us frm getting married at any particular day or time.
We do respect others feelings so can wait till 10th Muharram.
Nowadaz thr r so many weddings occuring after 10th Muharram.

yea, i think nowadays people just wait till 10th muharram then its totally fine. i guess loads of wedding happening in this month..
