wedding roles- for aisle walk down

how do you all normally arrange your wedding party entrance/walk down the aisle?

Re: wedding roles- for aisle walk down

Depends on the people involved but generally if people are married...they walk in as couples.

If not, we group them together...girls together and boys together.

Re: wedding roles- for aisle walk down

one bridesmaid, one groomsman, 4 pairs
maid of honour, best man
hubby with his parents
me with mine

that's how we arranged it.

Re: wedding roles- for aisle walk down

hubby walked in with this parents on his side.. his married sister and her hubby behind them and his other sister and brother behind them.

i walked in with my brothers on my side and my neice was the flower girl.

its ur wedding, you coudl do it anyway you want..no particular way to do it.

Re: wedding roles- for aisle walk down

On the mehndi hubby and I walked in together, with everyone around us...they were holding up teh duputta. initially they were going to bring us out separately but they ended up doing it together
On teh baraat I don't know how he got on the stage :D but I came in with my brother and bhabi...my parents were behind me
On the valima, it was me and hubby, and my brother and dad on either side of us. I don't think it was planned like that it just happened

Re: wedding roles- for aisle walk down

Hubby ran from one end, I from the other, in slow motion...all of a sudden, in the background we heard...

Tere liye, ham hain jiye, honton ko siye
Tere liye, ham hain jiye, har aansoo piye
Dil mein magar, jalte rahe, chaahat ke diye
Tere liye, tere liye
Tere liye, ham hain jiye, har aansoo piye
Tere liye, ham hain jiye, honton ko siye
Dil mein magar, jalte rahe, chaahat ke diye
Tere liye, tere liye

Then we met in the middle. :@:

baraat- I will have my brother escorting me with my maid of honor behind me to help wth the lehenga, my mom and sister behind them.
walima- Hubby any I :)

Re: wedding roles- for aisle walk down

we had somthing similar to the above at my cousins wedding but also had her niece as a flower girl in the front.....it was soooo cute!!!

i however plan to have my parents either side, i dont really get the brother thing...its sentimental and adorable but technically its ur parents who will be giving u away! or at least thats what it symbolises!

Re: wedding roles- for aisle walk down

oh yeah we had the kidlets walk down in pairs... two flower girls followed by a third flower girl and the ring bearer.

Re: wedding roles- for aisle walk down

I am just really close to my brother. And my mom thinks it will b wierd if she is walking me down the isle. She thinks only bridesmaids do tht

Re: wedding roles- for aisle walk down

^ same reason. my brothers are my rock, so i wanted to walk me down. my parents were waiting for me at the front of the stage in which they took me from there to greet my inlaws (also waiting at the front of the stage) and brought to my seat. It was one of the best moments of my nikkah.

Re: wedding roles- for aisle walk down
