Wedding Rings

Re: Wedding Rings

My hubby deos not wear it because he does not like to wear any kind of jewellery but I love to wear mine all the time.

Re: Wedding Rings

Such a relief to learn that I am not the only one who does not attach too much importance to a wedding ring. I lost mine when we were robbed and never replaced it...although I wear a normal ring...simply out of pressure to wear one. My hubby does not care when I don't wear one though.

I sometimes feel my nerve on my finger pressurised when I wear the ring and have to often change it to my other hand....although the ring is not tight. Anyone know whether it could be sciatica or something?

Re: Wedding Rings

I m not married but i don't like to wear any ring ...:)

Re: Wedding Rings

What's with these ridiculous rulings these days. For heaven's
sake, maulvi brigade needs to concentrate more on what's not
shirk, since everything seems to be categorized as shirk these
days!!! Fifth year into the marriage Masha`Allah I've been wearing a wedding
ring regularly. Not because it increases or decreases love but
because I'm proud to be married to who I'm married to
and to let it be known that I'm married. Mrs. Aalhan
wears one as well on a regular basis. And yes we have a matching
set.

Re: Wedding Rings

There's no concept of wedding rings in our marriage. I don't wear any ring, period. She wears rings but we don't call any of them a wedding ring, not even the one that I got for her on the occasion of our marriage.

Re: Wedding Rings

My hubby and i have always worn our wedding rings since we got married.

Re: Wedding Rings

I wear the engagement ring that his mom brought me on the baat-pakki..i only take it off if i go to the bathroom or go to sleep..it does get kinda annoying when i hav to reach into my pockets for mney..:(

Re: Wedding Rings

I dont wear the ring. I just dont like men's jewelry.

Re: Wedding Rings

I think if the husband has no intention of wearing the ring, he should make it clear to the wife and her family. That way they can spend the money on something he will use.

Re: Wedding Rings

may be its cause they get this bulky & ugly yellow gold ring they get on their wedding back here in pakistan! :D....i seriously can't imagine someone tolerating that kind of ring for more than day!

Re: Wedding Rings

My husband has a simple, platinum band that has become somewhat scratched up over the years. But he doesn't wear it unless we have some special occasion. In his line of work he can't wear one so he's lost the habit. So many women do think he's single and he's been hit on numerous times. I think women do look for the ring to know if a man is married.

Re: Wedding Rings

saima I have a similar band, plain platinum..eheh that is somewhat scratched over the years. I cant stand the gaudy rings that some dudes get the bright gold and sometimes with lines of stones...yuck..

rings or no rings, being hit on is not going to go anywhere if the guy is not interested.

Re: Wedding Rings

Mr.Fraudia, I agree that a ring is just a signal women look for in order to go ahead and pursue someone. But the rest is up to the guy. I have 100% trust in my husband. He's just trying to get me jealous. Then when I try to even step out the door, he stops me and does a 'ring check' jokingly.

Re: Wedding Rings

For a husband that isn't into wearing a ring, get him a really nice watch instead. My husband loves his watch but won't wear the ring. Its really not a big deal. Like someone mentioned, if hes gonna cheat, a ring wont stop him.
