We’re thinking of organizing a Wedding Reception Event in Karachi. As we’re not based in Pakistan we’re unaware of all the in’s and out’s of Karachi in particular.
Someone suggested the Marina Club (Area 1) however we’re not sure if the area is indeed an ideal location to host a wedding reception.
Can anyone please provide some information on what the Marina Club Area 1 area is like? In addition if anyone can provide any information on ideal venue locations(with catering, decorations, photographers, videographers etc) we would really be grateful. Are there any reliable wedding planners out there places we can contact.
All in all we do want something special and well organised!!
Any ideas on how much a wedding reception venue on average costs? Furthermore, any suggestions on bridal wear boutiques, jewelers etc. A one off designer dress would be nice as it would be something unique so if anyone has any information on some elegant stylish boutiques and an idea on the price range please do let us know.
For the venue, Marina Club makes a great one except that it is located in DHA phase 8 which is under construction as two grand residential complexes are under construction these days (Creek Marina and Creek City). Defense Housing Society 8 is also not very inhibited at this time and could be little far off for your guest. You can try Darbaar in Karachi Sheraton Hotel and Towers or Pearl Continental Hotel's pool side. They are both located in a nice area closer to city center and major transportation so it will be easier and quicker for your guest to attend. There are many many other nice places but I found the above two more suitable for people visiting from abroad.

the stage, tables, chairs , everything was nice!!!!
most of the marriage halls in pakistan are really paindu and the weddings are disgusting!!!!
