Re: Wedding Pranks
At a friend's wedding we hid alarm clocks all over the bridal suite and set them to go off on 30-90min intervals. We must have hid 6-7 throughout the entire room...
We didn't want to risk the chance of their getting any rest on their wedding night ;-)
Re: Wedding Pranks
hahahaha goodone!! I had the similar plan but only for one clock but this is awsome

My cousins did that for their brother's wedding plus they hid a mobile phone so that we could all ring it during the night!
On the Barat when we arrived I saw that the bride's side had left the decorated cup for the milk on the food table, so I took it and hid it meaning they had to use a normal glass.
At my Chachoo's wedding in the UK they did the giving milk at the entrance and wouldn't let the Barat in until they got money. After much discussion they asked for 1 red note (i.e. a £50 note). Now my Phopho had come from Pakistan for the wedding and she had rupees on her, so instead of getting £50 alll they got was 100 rupees.
One thing my Nanajan told me about his brother's wedding. The bride had a separate mehndi so the groom wasn't able to attend but they put a burqa on him and took him to the mehndi and no one realised who was under the burqa.
Re: Wedding Pranks
OMG!! didn't ladki walay mind about hiding the milk glass.... And the burkha thing, so it happens in reality too not just in the movies... hhmmm
Re: Wedding Pranks
we did the alarm thingy with my SIL last month when the couple was back home for maklawa-we slipped mobile phones with alarms under the bed, over the split unit AC,behind the curtain, in the pillow, etc :D and set up the ptcl phone alarm in which the phone rings at the set time&the lady says:assalamo alaikum.subah kay paanch baj chukay hain. rotfl
and since it was not their wedding night,we didnt spoil their THING lol
Re: Wedding Pranks
lol that alarm clock thing has been done at various wedding then. my cousins did that to someone in pak and you now how high the roof of the rooms are, some were hidden there too. the poor couple!
Re: Wedding Pranks
yes :D we found the bed all moved from it's place and the washroom's wiper out in the bedroom which they probably used to get the mobile placed over the AC unit down..lol

my husbands cousins did that to us .. there were quite a few alarm clocks hidden around the room and also my husbands mobile phone with a mssg recording set to go off after all the alarm clocks had gone off.. sad part was.. i slept thru it all .. didnt even wake up when my husband tried to wake me up to make me aware of the ringing and the strange voices (that he later discovered were coming from the mobile)...
saddest part was.. when we came home the next day from the hotel.. we were asked yo, where are the alarm clocks? we had left them at the hotel.. some we didnt even find :D

I think that was kinda mean.

Ok that's kinda funny, but im sure alot of ppl would find that xtremely messed up
Re: Wedding Pranks
On my uncles mehndi we filled balloons with water but not a lot and hung them up to make it look pretty. What happened was we were supposed to burst the balloons but some of the girls from the bride side did it on their own and they got pretty wet it was so funny.
other than that the only other thing which i thought was evil was me and my cousins ganged up on a cousins husband on his wedding, boy did he part with a lot of hard cash. when ever i look at the video of the wedding it looks like he would cry. the funny thing is no one stopped us from harassing him and his own father joined in. We were evil teenagers
Also filling the straw of the milk glass with spices the milk with salt. Um we also brought fake gold to give someone you know when they ask for money after drinking milk.
Ringing a persons mobile phone on the wedding night. If they arein a hotel knocking on the door to say room service or chi wala aya hai.

Yeah, maybe it was a little mean, but their fault for leaving it in view for everyone to see. They were a little annoyed about it but they got it back after the wedding, and they got loads of money for the milk anyway.
About the burqa thing, the wedding must have happened 30-40 years ago so I guess it was more common for women to wear burqay to weddings in Pakistan. I dunno about it being messed up.

I agree, can you imagine with a lot of love and effort that glass was left there and someone hides it, it's not funny :(
