First of all I’d like your opnions on whether it is worth hiring them? My only reasoning for gettin an event organiser involved is less hassle in preps.
Has anyone experienced?, can anyone recommend any good Wedding Organisers in Lahore…

It is a good idea to hire one if you have a ginormous wedding like 1000 people or so .. or if you live abroad and come to pak for a wedding ... it does especially if you do not know the local vendors here ..
but for me I think its extra money spent id rather spend elsewhere like gold or something .. yes they are THAT expensive these days and the cheaper ones are no less hassle.. even though i am not in pak i got my in laws to go to venues .. finalize and book the places ... they know people in photography etc etc .. so everything can be taken care of with some help from back home ...
Apart from the venues ... Make up artists and your bridal ... there is nothing else that is so big ... you can probably handle everything with a little planning. Unless your wedding is not in Pak... with the wedding abroad .. an organizer is the usual route to go through ...

My fiance is a big fan of Zara Aslam ... if you google her name her website comes up .. she organizes entire events.

Yes, they are really very helpful.
There are a lot of event organizers in Lahore but I ll recommend Nadeem caterers (wedding n' event Organizer). They did just fabulous job and that was such a dreamy event.
Don't rely just on them. most important thing is that u need to give them a detailed description of your thoughts. means It depends on your imaginations. Check weather forecast as well if u intend to arrange outdoor event.

It really depends on what kind of a girl you are - some are crazy about planning, while others are more laxed - nothing wrong with either of them! I'm the kind that loves planning and organizing, regardless of what occasion it is, so organizing and planning my wedding was heaven for me! While others, like my friend are more chillaxed and feel like they have other things to worry about than choosing colors and decor artists, which is fine too! So if you find that you are the latter, then go for it - get an event planner :)

you’ve mentioned ther that you’ve booked the good ol’ PC for reception.. tbh as much as we were avoiding that too, but we keep comin back to it for some reason.
I wanted to ask.. have u got the decor, stage setting & lighting etc included or are you gettin all that done seperatly from someone??

:) thanks i deliberately added the rates .. i went crazy when i cudnt find any website with PC rates or at least wedding estimates .. i mean i know they are subject to change but someone shud be able to figure out how much they would have to spend eventually on the day esp if they are abroad!
We will have 600 people and they will give us the entire crystal hall without partition ... we will probably get the decor done by someone on PC's panel ... Zara aslam or issa from blessings .. reason being the simple fact that PC does not allow someone from outside .. Issa is my fiance's friend so thats why ...
if you dont get someone to do the decor than pc just sets up a stage and chairs for your guests ... for a minimal amount .. or if u pay them good they even get it really nicely decorated .. ie, if you dont go with someone on their panel ...

Isn't there a restriction on serving food.... ie one dish????
my nikkah's venue was initially PC but was changed due to this=/

In lahore you're only allowed one dish. In Karachi there's no such restriction

^ thats right!
In hotels & halls they're very strict with this policy however if you chose to function in a private marquee, then you can get away with more than one dish food wise.

I think it’s good to have planner so long as they bond with your ideas and vision
