Gora weddings do that, cz their reception is the same day as the wedding, so the bride wears the same dress. She just takes the veil off. look slike these ppl did hte same. unn ki marzi.

^^yeah i know that but her wedding didnt look like it happened on the same day and same place...ofcourse sara meri marzi thori na karaingay woh :P

Well usually the receptions are held somewhere else while the wedding is held in a church…so its possible to have it same day but diff place. any way, maybe im just blind but i dont see what so fantastic abt her dress and stuff… :bummer:

If you flip through the whole set, you’ll see she changed into a kinda mustard colored dress for dinner & dancing…I think she only wore the wedding outfit for her entrance.

I have to say, even though I know its pretty common now, I’m still always a little taken aback when I see alcohol being served so openly at Pakistani weddings.

They didn't...they were months apart, and on different continents. Based on the pictures, it looks like her wedding was at the PC Lahore, while the valima was at San Francisco City Hall (I only know because I've actually been to a wedding there before)...

I've seen it in both...I guess I'm a little more surprised when I see it in Pakistan since it's technically illegal, but I actually think most of the weddings been to there (and I admit I haven't been to a whole lot there) did have some sort of alcohol being served...

Not impressed at all. The mehndi and shaadi were so breathtakingly beautiful but this has just ruined the impression that I had of them. The valima looks one of those vulgar type events with scantily dressed women dancing and everyone enjoying alcohol.

thats exactly what i said when i saw these pics.....these ones kinda nullified the impression from the earlier pictures...

I think part of what made the wedding out fit charming is the way she looked so demure in it, because it was so big and overwhelming, and covered her up. The striking contrast in the later photos takes that charm away.

i think you are right sahar. i am put off by the alcohol and dancers but i suppose that was to be expected. i do have to say though that the venue is gorgeous and her outfits do look nice

honestly, i prefer this look over her shaadi one where she seemed so overdressed and wearing so many sets and that heavy dupatta on her head... her look on the valima is clean and chic and her hair pulled back looks really good too.

i thought the guy was from ny, then whys the valima in san francisco?. anyone know who he is? he must be some big shot if he can afford to have such a lavish valima.

Sara, I totally agree about her “look.” Sorry to say, she looked rather old-fashioned, and not in a good way.

And call me judgemental, but was it necessary to serve alcohol at their valima? Just looove the picture of the sharab bottles.
