I just wanted to get an idea of what all of you 2013 brides are paying for your wedding photography? On an average, I know people have different budgets but assuming the general population is in the same boat. What do you find is a reasonable rate for two or three days worth of coverage?? Anything over $3000 or $4000 seems a bit much to me, but what do you guys think? I know quality and all that comes into play, but what are your minimums you expect to pay and maximum amount?
Re: Wedding Photography Rates?
wow...2-3 days of coverage for $3-4k sounds so cheap! i paid close to $3k for one day of coverage 4 years ago in USA.
Re: Wedding Photography Rates?
$3-$5k is about average for gen population. However, when looking to book or asking for a quote, make sure to ask the photographer to break down the price. You can cut down the price when its broken out in front of you. Example, for parent albums - photographer may charge a lot for that, but there are online companies where you can get that taken care of for much cheaper. Try to meet the photographer in person and negotiate, much better than a phone/email convo.
When I was looking around, $5k was the base price! Imagine desi weddings and coverage - it hiked the price way above $6k!
