Did anyone get married on their birthday?
Is there anything special you would do if your groom’s/bride’s birthday falls on the baraat or the Valima?

That would be so lovely.
Considering how weddings are mostly held on weekends, if the birthday falls on one of those days as well, it can be a nice celebration.
On the other hand, I know babies who are born on their mom's or dad's birthdays, now that's so adorable!
yeah there was one this year where the groom's bday was on the mendhi day. they just got him a bday cake as part of the celebrations. :)
My wedding day was the day after my birthday. We cut our cake, fed each other and suddenly my brother finds a mike and starts singing happy birthday... I was soooo embarrassed and was giggling away and photographer got lots of good shots of hubby and me giggling...
my baraat was on hubbys bday, we haven't done somthing special coz of this, but thats coz he doesn't celeberate his bday

I suppose if it's coincidental then, fine. But I wouldn't go out of my way to ensure our wedding day fell on mine or his birthday. Why? Because, personally, I would like to celebrate my wedding anniversary seperate to a birthday.

Well, cakes are a norm nowadays at weddings and Valimas. I think I even saw one at mehndi. Is there anything else that can be done?

My birthday fell on my mehndi and the next day was my wedding. My dad wanted me to have the wedding on my birthday and had already spoken to my inlaws about it and i was like NOOO WAY! So we decided to do the wedding a day later.
My dad had me cut a birthday cake on the mehndi stage as soon as i sat down! It was totally unexpected and out of no where, the 'happy birthday' song started blasting in the speakers, i was like "OMG!"
As far as gifts are concerned, only one year has passed since our wedding and our birthday/anniversary weekend was a 3 day celebration.
