Wedding night-way of the Prophet (SAW)

Re: Wedding night-way of the Prophet (SAW)

Yes we could always do qaza e umri namaz which is to make up for all missed namaz...just add on to your daily namaz schedule.

very nice grls

Re: Wedding night-way of the Prophet (SAW)

No you did not earn 'gunnah'. With everything, we are judged by our intentions and on top of that this isnt something that is compulsory. So therefore, it is not a sin if you didint say it... but people do it for their benefit (and to follow sunnah, I guess).

I'm sure you can still read the prayers now or even some other ones, since it's never too late to pray for your marriage :)

Re: Wedding night-way of the Prophet (SAW)

Yeah, sometimes I think about our weddings and such and think that this is such a huge step/risk in our life, it's all upon Allah to give us a good husband, children, in-laws and everything thats attached with a marriage yet we start a marriage off with so much gunnah that upset Allah. Def. something to think about.
I think it's totally possible to have a beautiful wedding and look your best and do all that without engaging in wrong, what do you guys think?

Well its indeed very good thinking just to share
in my neighbours had wedding and it was the groom side When the dulhan arrived at there place after doing the rasams when every one was gone her MIL told to chnage her cloths and remove all the makeup +nailpolish every thing and say namaz .So she did all this and then went in her room with simple jora .:)
At that time i thought poor girl abhi to is kay hubby nay is ko sahi tarha say dekha b nahi or sab kuch chnage kara diya as i was not married at that time but later i got married and understood that it was indeed blessing on them that how Allah will be happy on her.

beautiful thread!

Re: Wedding night-way of the Prophet (SAW)

I can't find anything clearer than what mahiya's posted, it's probably in quite a few dua books. I know my brother has one so I'm sure you'll be able to find it if you ask at the bookstore?

I don't think it's gunah, cos it's Sunnah not a Fardh, why not do that dua now? There's no time limit on making dua to Allah (SWT). A lot of my friends feel quite awkward about telling their hubby-to be's about that dua, I've known my fiance since we were kids so it's not that uncomfortable for me (although I'm not gonna tell him till like a week before! Even talking about us getting married is embarrassing right now. My friends are gonna have arranged marriages so they have no clue on how to bring the subject up)

Hmm.... I have never ever been to a wedding with a namaz break, not even if the wedding is hosted by the "very religious" families.
