ok, this seems to be a BIIIG topic of discussion lately…well always
and i think everyone is stressing waaaaaaaaayyy too much
yeah, im at that age, too…my girls are leaving me right and left 
but inshallah, they will be very happy
but, guys and gals, try to just chill. i’m the last one to say this, and i can be ridiculous about being a hopeless romantic, but i really think everyone should just R E L A X
if you or your parents are looking, instead of focusing on love marriage, arranged marriage, magic marriage…just try to focus on what you all want…its all pretty much up to Allah (SWT) anyways…isn’t it like written already who that person is?
i think people focus to much on if its love or arranged…frankly, who cares how you meet (well, lets try to stay away from being pimps and hos) as long as you can be with someone you feel comfortable with on an intellectual, physiical, religious, spirital, etc level. And if you’re cool with going blindly into-then more power to you. i only hope it works out for the best
me personally? never dated, probly never will… can’t have marriage like rents (meet on day of wedding) but don’t mind being set up by them either…
i think the more you look and push for it, the harder it gets…so try to just chill and let it come to you
Arranged marriage is neither a must nor a taboo. It seems to be the most culturally acceptable thing, but not the only.
Remember the Prophet (S) was 15 years Khadija (R) junior and she proposed to him…that wasn’t a hook-up btwn two families etc..and it wasn’t some sordid affair either. It was a simple joining of two really good people.
What I’m trying to say through all this, is once again just relax. Inshallah, it will come to you in due course and time and it will work out for the best. Don’t reject someone for the mundane or just because you didn’t hook it up yourself.
in the end, try not to STRESS about it
